Located atop Katherine Esau Science Hall, the Department of Plant Biology's teaching greenhouse provides students with year-round access to living plant collections that support hands-on instruction. The greenhouse is used in a variety of undergraduate courses, allowing students to observe plant growth, explore plant diversity, and conduct laboratory exercises with living specimens grown just steps from their classrooms. The facility plays an important role in the department's commitment to experiential learning, giving students the opportunity to connect concepts from the classroom with real plants in a controlled growing environment.
