Personnel - Junior Specialist

There are several steps in the process to hire a Junior Specialist, and it can take 3-4 months to complete the process, depending on how long various approvals in the process take.

The first step will be to request that the position be created, and once we have that approved, we will need to conduct an open search for candidates, go through the interview process, choose the best candidate, and get them approved, and finally get them hired.

In order to request the position, we need a position description.  This PDF has some guidelines for you, as well as an example from a previous, successful petition.  Additionally, I will need to know how many references you want from applicants, and a list of basic, additional and preferred qualifications, duration of the position (max is 2 years with a pay increase at 1 year), who will be on your interview committee with you, which fields of studies (please see list;  https://recruit.ucdavis.edu/analyst/help/resources#fields_of_study ), and how long would you like the job to be posted?
